Before writing a review I had to make my old half-completed setup look good. The worst thing is that my Tygon 3603 tubing got a bit yellowish after using it for a year and it did not come off.
After abit of thinking, I decided to change Tygon to new PrimoFlex Pro LRT Black ID 7/16 х OD 5/8 tubing. It would be interesting to all of you to see how well they performed.
Tygon 3603 ID 1/2 x OD 3/4 (top) – PrimoFlex Pro LRT Black ID 7/16 х OD 5/8 (midle)- Tygon 3603 ID 7/16 x OD 5/8 (bottom):
I also found a piece of a new Tygon 3603 ID 7/16 х OD 5/8 tubing and added it for comparison.
I cut a 0.2m piece of each tubing and bent along the ruler.
The distance between axis is 0,1m:
Tygon 3603 ID 7/16 х OD 5/8
PrimoFlex Pro LRT Black ID 7/16 х OD 5/8
If bend radius is less than 0.05m – Tygon kinks, whereas LRT – doesn’t. This is because PrimoFlex Pro LRT is more stiffy and Tygon is more flexible. On the other hand it is easier to attach Tygon 3603 to my Bitspower Fat Boy ½ fittings. So I had to apply force to the same with PrimoFlex Pro LRT tubing – it means no more tube changing without taking off the watrerblock, otherwise You can surely damage the MOBO.
In total, I am satisfied with the new tubing – it don’t fade (at least for now), bends perfectly and no more heat carrier evaporation, like 11-12ml per day on a 2.5m long tubing, as I saw on gas-permeable Tygon 3603 tubes.
Here are some pics of tubing.
